HARVESTING REGIONS
The majority of our raw materials are sourced from the Limpopo province, South Africa, with some overlapping villages within Mozambique and Botswana.
TRACING
Each bag of seeds/fruit is scanned by QR code at location and registered at our
manufacturing facility. This allows for accurate time and geo tracking.
WHY TRACE?
Tracing of raw materials is a very important component of quality control. Each area is tested for pesticides, heavy metals and any other unwanted elements. Tracing allows us to equitably distribute benefits to the communities involved as agreed in the Nagoya Protocol of 1995. Each barrel of Rou Organics oil can be traced down to the exact village that the seeds originate from.
